Designing Emotions On Web
The objective of this thesis is to demonstrate the versatility of Emotional Design and the urgency of abandoning impersonal and rhetorical websites, and consequently the need for a web design which can stimulate users’ emotions and transform companies’ brands into “lovemarks”.
Cognitive psychology can be extremely useful to web designers to drive users’ behaviour and create a long-lasting bond between users, customers, and companies; the last chapters, are the most practical, as they analyse the strategies of both an “emotional company” and those of a “non-emotional company”.
